Glendyn Ivin

Joining the next session of The Directors' Chair program is one of Australia's leading directors in television, film and commercials - GLENDYN IVIN, where he will discuss and share some behind-the-scenes insights (spoiler alert!) from his latest project, The Cry

Glendyn Ivin is well known for his cinematic and immersive work in television with shows like Puberty Blues, The Seven Types of Ambiguity, Safe Harbour and most recently BBC1’s The Cry. He most recently won back to back Best Direction in Television Awards at the 2017 and 2018 AACTA Awards.

The Cry is a captivating four-part psychological thriller, following a young couple travelling from Scotland to Australia to visit family. When their baby goes missing, they are thrust into the glare of media speculation. Starring Jenna Coleman (Victoria, Doctor Who) and Ewen Leslie (Safe Harbour, Sweet Country, Rake) – The Cry premiered on ABC1 on 2 February, and the whole series is now available to watch online on ABC iView.
