As part of Cinefest Oz frome the 28th August 2019 in Busselton, Western Australia the ADG is partnering with Cinefest Oz to run the first ever Directors Immersive. This is a 2-day event that runs on the 28th & 29th August for 12-15 participants, with some special events aimed at emerging directors. These will include panel sessions and talks by leading directors, screenings with Q&A’s, as well as a one-on-one session for participants on the development of their own project.

Some of the panellists and tutors include KINGSTON ANDERSON, CEO of the ADG; CATHY HENKEL, documentary filmmaker and Head of the WA Screen Academy; and filmmakers RACHEL WARD, BEN LAWRENCE, MEGAN RIAKOS, and others to be announced closer to the Festival.

The project can be drama or documentary, and can be at any stage of development. The two-day event will be moderated by Australian Director’s Guild CEO, Kingston Anderson and WA Chapter Head, Cathy Henkel.
